Caberet Rouge to get some grub turn in for a sleep, no blankets or ground sheet, wet thro myself & sleep sound in one inch of mud until 4 P.M. Thursday Apl 12. take a fellow out that was hit at 5.30 A.M on Monday morning, a strong blizzard raging but much shell fire, but two feet of snow. hang around the relay to get some grub. we have eaten our iron rations. Killjoy makes us go back to Blue Bull he sneaked a bed in the dressing station but once more we get no bed. as I have no diving suit it’s too dangerous to lay down so two of us sit up & scotch each other up. Friday Apl 13. Company Friday the 13th. Get some grub of a sort at 10 A.M. line quiet the 11th Brigade 54. 75. 87. 102. went over early this morning no casualties to speak of we stay in our mud hole until 2 PM. when we get cleared out to make room for the Cheshire regt. the Canadians are to hand over the new lines to the Imperials
