Georgette halted

Operation Georgette is called off on April 29 after failing to capture Hazebrouck or the Channel ports. German losses exceed 100,000. Allied casualties are similar. Ludendorff has now launched two massive offensives without achieving a decisive result. His best stormtrooper units have been devastated by casualties. Fresh Allied divisions are arriving faster than Germany can replace its losses. The window for German victory is closing.
