A Section is relieved by B section, our start home is delayed for 45 minutes as Fritz is shelling Shrapnel corner & Ypres & we could not get thro it. arrived at Reminghelst at 10 P.M. Called up twice during the night as Fritz is sending over cloud gas & gas shells. Sunday SEP. 3rd Mass at 10 AM. I sat in the wrong side of the church, all amongst the women. went to Benediction in the evening. Monday SEP 4. Slept all day. Tuesday SEP 5. I am the O/c orderly, cycle to Grand Trouwe twice. (to A.D.M.S & A.PM.) I am to be O/c orderly for six days plenty of mud & well fed about. Wed Sept 6, o/c orderly. Rain stops quite a bit of cycling
